Compliance
What the compliance module is, and what it is not.
Infrastructure, not adjudication
AssetForge is not a law firm, a transfer agent, a custodian, or a regulator, and does not provide legal, tax or investment advice. The compliance module is workflow and record-keeping infrastructure. Reviews recorded in it reflect what your organization has attested, not an AssetForge determination.
The distinction the whole product rests on: technical validation is not legal approval, and legal approval is not regulatory approval. The interface keeps these separate everywhere they appear.
Screening
AssetForge performs no sanctions screening. The compliance record carries a provider field as an integration point, and the validation engine reports the absence of a connected provider as a warning rather than treating it as satisfied.
The default restricted-jurisdiction list is a policy starting point, not a sanctions list. Sanctions regimes change, differ by the issuer’s home regulator, and are not reducible to a country code. Entity- and individual-level screening is required.
